The Liberals promised to abolish the GST. They decided they liked it so much they could live with a broken promise. There are others but hey - who's keeping count?

Martin has been looking like a firebrand, getting over excited and even YELLING. Looking even better for the Conservatives. Let's hope this isn't an early peak. Only 2 weeks to go.

Heh, ok.

I really should NOT have turned this debate on. I have 6 cover letters to write and I have to get up early.

I think tomorrow's debate will decide the election. If Harper can make the sale to Quebec, you're looking at the next Prime Minister.

Uh oh...Paul Martin going on about STRONG social programs and heath care and how he was Finance Minister.

As finance minister, he cut $30 Billion out of health care transfers to the provinces.

Yeah and Dalton McGuinty's Liberal provincial party in Ontario have been complaining about the shortchange. The Liberals are acting like nothing's happened in the past 12 years that's their fault and if they did transgress the voters ought to forgive them. If only they were believably contrite, they could still pull off a political miracle.

Layton keeps telling people to vote NDP and not saying much more. Strong platform he has there. "We're not Liberals and we're not Conservatives, vote for us!"

Yes, let's vote for more socialism. Only problem is the New Democrats' stuff only attracts 17% of the electorate and the equally socialist Bloc in Quebec is doing well less because of its socialist policies than its being viewed as the guardian of Quebec's interests in Ottawa. Socialism has no future, even in a country with three Leftist parties like Canada. To paraphrase Rush Limbaugh, conservatism wins everywhere its tried. With their party name, the Conservatives should be in deep doo doo with Canadians. Au contraire.

Ah, if I was Harper I'm not sure I'd be praising Charest - last I heard he was rather unpopular.

I think it's a smart move.
It'll score points both inside & outside K-Bak...
Harper has been very impressive tonight.
