I have the experience to be an effective leader in Richmond. My education, career experience, and years of service to the party have prepared me to hit the ground running. My leadership on the Board of Supervisors has given me an intimate knowledge of the needs of our county and makes me the ideal advocate in Richmond.

I’m a fiscal conservative with a record of opposing higher taxes. I fought against the sales tax referendum in 2002, and worked to achieve lower real property tax rates as a member of the Board of Supervisors.

I am a social conservative who steadfastly upholds pro-life, pro-family values. As a Senator, I will join with Senator Cuccinelli, Senator O’Brien, and the Conservative Caucus in making sure that our commitment to upholding our shared values and protecting unborn children and traditional marriage is carried on.
