When I was in London, if the British men saw that the ladies had a long "Q" - they would clear out the men's room and stand guard while they held the door open for ladies to enter.

The lost sense of chivalry, no matter how unimportant this may have seemed to people, surprised me and made me smile. It was really infectious in that men took great pride in the fact that they put the ladies first, and the ladies appreciated it.

Back in my days as a young kitten, I once dated a girl from an all girls' college. On one visit, I had to visit the rest room. So my girlfriend and her dorm room mate staged a similar commando raid to clear out the girls' room and allow me to take care of my business in comfort and privacy.

I never did figure out why they needed all those sofas, mirrors, calliopes, etc. But I eventually *did* figure out the little mini-trash-cans on the side of each stall...

Cheers!
