I think Kennedy is not as thick skinned as he would have us believe, that is why he is a serious alcoholic and drug abuser. He was the Baby of the family with Manly role models that he never measured up to. Even though he is a Senator, he has no real accomplishments. He got kicked out of School for cheating, drove his wife to drink, was cheating on his wife driving drunk with a Young employee,missed a turn and drove off a bridge into water,swam away and left the Young Girl to drown,never reporting it until all the Kennedy Yes man could figure a way to try and cover it up, long after she had drowned. He is supposed to be deeply catholic, yet is for even Partial Birth abortion, and when he looks in the mirror, he has to see a piece of worthless human debris like we do. His Family always paid to get him out of his fixes, and even though they did, almost everyone except the paid lap dogs have no respect for him, and deep down he knows it.

BUT, while reading this, I had to shake my head, that a country as "smart" as ours, would subsidize this guy for his whole life...
It is totally scary that someone who is that dysfunctional would have as much power as he has had..for as long as he has...
When "The Swimmer" visited Jackie Kennnedy at her death bed, on the eve of her passing, he blubbered on about not being "enough" (paraphrasing). Jackie wound up patting him on the head and consoling him, with words to the effect (paraphrasing) "It's allright. You doid as well as you could."
