I am a bit suspicious of the over-100 number here (think Katrina deaths, initial WTC-death estimates, etc.) and the hysterical tone of the article, but making sure you are not feeding your pet food from a contaminated batch is commonsense. (IIRC, some cat food was contaminated too; thus, this ping.)

And if your animal seems off it's feed or the food doesn't look or smell right, don't feed any more of it.
