It's a dud. Too many 'Rats implicated, too. The MSM won't touch it. Mark my words.

It's a dud. Too many 'Rats implicated, too. The MSM won't touch it. Mark my words. Certainly there were RATs that were given money also, BUT to listen to the media and lib radio this is a Republican Scandal". Listening to the Nazi Ed Shultz this afternoon he was ranting about "Anyone tells you the DemonRATs are involved is absolutely lying! This belongs to the Republicans only." Of course we all know what a moron this guy is, but it keeps my juices flowing, knowing how unhinged all of them really are - they are all marching off the left side cliff just like a bunch of lemmings. Should be good for a Republican gain in '06 if the lobbyist mess gets behind us.

Ed Shultz is a hack. He's an AirHead America nothing.
The MSM won't touch this ... much. Like I said: 'Rats are implicated, too. This scandal will fizzle like the "Downing Street Memo".

Who specifically took a bribe? That is what I'm missing. So far I've only seen donations reported.
(I must be especailly dumb this Friday)

Don't you remember? It is not the evidence that is important but the seriousness of the charge.

Abramoff has claimed that sixty Congressman and Senators took bribes.
To prove that DOJ would need to establish that specific actions were taken in exchange for contributions or other benefits.
Those cases have not yet been presented to a grand jury but they will be.
Supposedly Abramoff will have evidence of the following form:
Emails to staff member(s) of Congresscritter A establishing proposed quid pro quo
Contribution to Congresscritter A
Action taken by Congresscritter A
Thank you contribution to Congresscritter A
There are other aspects of these cases but that is the basic outline.
Do not underestimate Abramoff.
I think this story has legs and a lot of pols from both parties could be wearing orange by this time next year.

I don't care if they are Republicans, Democrats, Libertarian or "Greens" or what.
If they are dirty they should be prosecuted and if they are guilty they should be convicted.
Of course this is what distinguishes conservatives from liberals. The left will stand by their crooks no matter what.
