Thanks, Drumbo, for the great tunes for our military. ((HUGS)) How's Mikey? Rolling over? or trying? Has he found his toes?
Hi Kathy,
He's trying:
As you can see, as soon as he gets the hang of throwing that leg he'll have mastered the roll-over maneuver.
It's been another week of firsts for the little guy. He outgrew his bassinet and slept in his crib in his own room for the first time New Year's eve. It's worked out well and given MrsDrumbo a bit of a rest. I'm manning the baby monitor tonight and handling some feedings so that she can get some sleep. She's hardly slept 6 hours back to back since he was born.
Another first was holding his own bottle. That was a stunner, three days before his 3 month bitrthday. Do I sound like one of those bragging parents? I'm sorry, I can't help it - the lil' buckaroo is a keeper.
This is his new bouncer/walker toy. He digs it the most! He hoots and hollers along with all the funny boings and toots it makes and he really likes having his feet under him. He'll be walking in no time I tell ya! (Although he'll have to learn to crawl first. Right now his best locomotion is sort'a a snake-like slither - but, you have to keep your eye on him, 'cause he'll scoot across the room before you know it.)
I'm sure enjoying the little guy. Today we watched Teletubbies and I read him Peter Pan. He pays rapt attention, 'though he hasn't a clue what's going on. He just knows that he's the center of the universe and he's content to sample what comes. He tasted his first rice-apple-Cinnamon cereal this week and seems to like it. His doctor says he's a little young, but says if he's interested, to let him experiment. He gets a bite in him and a few bites on him and then moves on to whatever's next on his agenda.
