My friend, Frances Rice is the Chairman of the National Black Republican Association. She is seeking help raising funds for NBRA's Grassroots Outreach.
The NBRA is forming local chapters to build a network of black Republican activists across the country whose growth and activities will be supported by the NBRA.
NBRA will sponsor grassroots campaign training programs, provide educational tool kits to grassroots activists, and conduct forums in black communities nationwide.
In addition to the grassroots activists manual, the tool kit will contain multiple copies of (1) NBRA brochure, (2) NBRA magazine, (3) palm cards about the differences between Republicans and Democrats on values issues (abortion, same-sex marriage, God in the pledge of allegiance, God in the public square, etc.
NBRA needs help to produce their grassroots educational tool kit.

FYI PING.......Co-Sponsor of CPAC requests help with Grassroots Campaign.
Organizing for political activity, by race is un-republican in my opinion.
Organizing for political activity, by race is the stuff of the Klan and the Democrats.
Thanks for your input....the rest of us are going to get back to work.
The NBRA is not restricted by race.....The use of the name is to call attention to the fact that there ARE Black Republicans!
BTW....I am white.
FYI.........BUMP
National Black Republican Association seeks help with Grassroots Campaign.
Actually, organizing by race or religion or any other criteria should BE a Republican ideal: After all, it is a right embodied in our constitution: The freedom of assembly for political redress, First Amendment.
It IS wrong to say only certain groups can organize by certain criteria, however.

Everytime I post on NBRA it seems someone jumps in to 'hijack the topic'.
What do you think?

***American Blacks definitely deserve a better political legacy than the same old leftover exploitation and demagoguery by the Democrat party. God Speed!
There are groups of votors in this country that are organized and isolated by "identity politics," many of them by race. That's unRepublican and something with which we must struggle.
That struggle is where NBRA and other such organizations come in. They're not organized "by race" (like Julie, I'm white), but exist to confront the identity politics, to educate those held down by those politics, and to show them that Republicans offer them more.
