WASHINGTON (AP) - A foot ailment forced Vice President Dick Cheney to use a cane on Friday, but it didn't affect his sense of humor. ``I'm a little hobbled-up today,'' Cheney told workers at a Harley-Davidson factory in Kansas City, Mo., where he was highlighting upturns in the economy. ``I don't usually carry a cane, but (Defense Secretary) Don Rumsfeld has been chewing on my ankles.'' Lea Anne McBride, a Cheney spokeswoman who is traveling with the vice president, said he was experiencing a recurrence of a ``pre-existing foot condition.''

I imagine when Rummy chews on something, it's located a little further north on the body. The VP should have blamed ankle-biting on Barney Bush, or perhaps a certain female woofer (rhymes with "rich") who doesn't like him named Maureen Dowd.
I'm betting it's gout. Too much rich food over the holidays. ;)

Forty years of history between 1968 and 2008: two Democrats elected president. Those two democrat presidents led to two eight year Republican presidencies (including 2 landslides and the highest vote total that a president has ever received).

If I were a democrat, I'd move to Canada or France. I sure wish the idiots would follow thru on that threat.
With a dress shoe on one foot and a leather mocassin on the other, he'll end up with a painful hip in short order. Anything containing cherries or extracts, will hold back gout. Cherry pie, cherries, cherry jam, etc. Been there, done that.
