I agree to an extent, however skilled workers are also killed by ACCIDENTS and human error. It is a mixed bag.

Just curious...why are you still living in Washington state? Your FReeper page gives me the impression you don't like it there.

"No fool, I spent my time getting enough training and education not to have to work in coal mines and make stupid comments such as you." I just read your bio page...pot meet kettle. What? You don't have enough training and education to find a decent place to live? If you don't like the NW....move. Simple as that. Quitcherbitchin'.

My skill is stating the obvious. Your a jerk.

Good morning.
"No fool, I spent my time getting enough training and education not to have to work in coal mines and make stupid comments such as you."
As is so often the case with people who are overly impressed with their education, you apparently didn't learn much of real value.
Going back to your page, I find you saying lots of nasty things about where you live but nothing about moving somewhere more to your liking.
Who's the fool...fool?

You don't talk about the knee-deep water or the mud or rocks falling onto your helmet. You sure don't complain about old equipment, or tell people that you're worried about safety
Then why oh why do you have a UNION?????

I ask again. What happened? Is the investigation completed? Have acts of God, terrorism etc been ruled out. Slap me silly. Of course terrorism would have already been ruled out, but how can the company be negligent yet, when we don't even know what happened ?

He was claiming that the Bush administration was lacking on mining safety regulations. Perhaps you heard the same person I heard, on Hannity & Colmes night-before-last. I was so incensed that I backed up the TiVo and transcribed what he said.
One Jack Spadaro, identified as the "Fmr Dir National Mine Academy," said:
"This mine should have been closed.
"I think it's because of the current Bush administration's policies toward line operators and their reluctance to take the strong enforcement action that's sometimes necessary and that often involves closing a mine."
It was obvious that Colmes had him prepared and well-rehearsed; he wanted to be first.

If you are a VP, then you are the problems that banks are nowdays. If your time is spent on the internet, you are like the VP that was fired at my wife's bank last year for surfing the porno pages I guess. Wasting the clients money paying your salary while surfing the nternet. Heck, you may even be him.

No, the investigation has not been completed, but this mine had been cited for about 300 safety violations. While that was under an old owner, it takes time to clean up that big a mess. They shouldn't have been operating yet, at lest not without a thorough new investigation to show that the violations had been corrected.

So I gather you don't really make that much money. Probably not as much as a coal miner.
