This thread is meant to be a place to discuss all of the daily Talk Radio and TV News shows that don't have their own daily thread. If you want to comment on something but don't think it deserves a separate thread, post it here. Any radio or TV shows may be commented on. Want to rant about IMUS, Matthews, O'Reilly. Feel free to vent your anger here.
We have a daily ping list. if you would like to added or removed Freepmail me.

I have created a backup board if Free Republic is down here which hasn't been happening much lately thanks to the fine work of the FR team.
Prayers sent. Don't worry about pings.
Thinking about Mrs. McGruff this morning.
No Imus this a.m., but, I-fave Monica Crowley is doing a "best of."
Interspersed with news, she's doing a good job and lookin' great.
Thank you for the update.
Mrs. McGruff, you listen to me! Get well and follow the doctor's orders.
_____
Mr. and Mrs Crowley thinking, "Where did we go wrong?"
I am glad to hear the good report. The doctor sounds exceptional. Prayers for continued good progress.
Thank God we live in America, where we have the best Doctors.
Well given my Dad's Doctors, the best place for Doctor's to work in. Couldn't understand a word he ever said to us, however my Dad is still with us after 6 bypasses.
More prayers going out my FRiend!!!
Belated well wishes and prayers for your wife's speedy recovery. I've been off-line and just came across your alarming post. Please update whenever you can.
SUNDAY missing you guys report. Some of us might be taking a vacation from all the gloom and doom. McGruff, maybe a new thread will perk us right up, just in time for Tuesday primaries.
Look out FOX NEWS! MSNBC has pulled out all the stops to beat Sunday morning Fox & Friends in the ratings. MSNBC is replaying their oldie goldie O.J.Simpson episode of Headliners and Legends.
I hope everyone will keep tabs on the predictions made on the Sunday Shows, about the Lieberman-Lamont race most especially. I'm sticking my neck out here....Lamont will NOT run away with it, and most of the newly registered Democrats will vote for Lieberman.
Neal Boortz' "cutest little communist in congress" Cynthia McKinney will lose her Georgia run-off primary and Congressional Democrats will cheer louder than Republicans to finally be rid of this Georgia embarrassment.
If the New York Times website has been "temporarily experiencing a server error" for several days as my screen shows, does that mean no one online can read Maureen Dowd? Thank you, Lord.
Where in the world is your governor? Lollygagging on the beach in South Carolina for the National Governor's convention. What? Not honoring the NAACP's boycott of SC? (Maybe that ended when I wasn't looking.) Fit and trim Arkansas Gov Huckabee, Chairman of the Governors', is on C-Span this morning describing all the "action" that will take place this week.
Day 26 of the Hezzbo war on Israel and I found out by watching CNN Headline News, that " Takeru Kobayashi, a Japanese man with a slight build and growing fan base, easily won the 2006 Johnsonville Brat-Eating Championship today. (In Sheboygan Wisconsin) Kobayshi downed 58 brats in 10 minutes and shattered the previous world record of 35 brats, held by Sonya Thomas. "
Oh, you may think you've covered it all but . . .
The Hungarian Grand Prix is Live on Speed Channel. And these guys race in the rain.
I'm going to spend the day with my son and grandson. Put some brats on the barby, drink some beer and smoke a couple of cigars. I'm "newsed" out.
Dan Rather is a panel member on Chris Matthews Sunday Show...LMAO as Rather says,, "I'm not comparing Bush to Nixon", when of course that's the lead off premise of the Matthews show.
After listening to Air Amerika, Lamont should wipe the floor w/Lieberman. (Yeah right!!)
For Takeru Kobayashi, the guy weights 160#. As some of the people at the local watering hole said, does he just throw it up, after eating?
McGruff, wish I could have found something funny for you to read, if you get the chance to read this. I know you're busy taking care of your wife and son.
Take care my FRiend!!!!
BTW lp, thought you quit smoking!!!
I'm emboldened to repeat my prediction:

I just got this feeling many of these newly registered democrat voters might go to Lieberman. That complacent voters in Connecticut will be offended Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are in their state campaigning for Lamont. Some of them might even be persuaded by their icon Bill Clinton, to get out and vote for good old Joe.
The MSM hype is all for Lamont, showing a double digit lead over Lieberman, which makes me think this late hour registration is to counter that. I mean, why would all these voters come out of the woodwork to support what the MSM claims is a done deal? Seems more likely to me, people would be registering in unheard of numbers this late, because they don't like what's happening.
For weeks now I've been reading how hard it is to get voters back to vote in hot August run-off elections, and also reading a big turn-out favors Lieberman.
Tuesday night gonna be interesting.""
Tuesday, August 8 Primary Run-off Day in Georgia, get this:
"On Tuesday morning, voters head back to the polls for the primary runoff. One of the most hotly contested races is the Democratic bid for the 4th Congressional District.
Incumbent Cynthia McKinney is trying to fend off challenger Hank Johnson, but a recent poll indicates she may still be facing an uphill battle.
The latest numbers released by InsiderAdvantage show Johnson leading with 53 percent to McKinneys 40 percent. Seven percent of those surveyed remain undecided."
TODAY SHOW Chip Reid in Connecticutt, covering the race. "in the fight of his political life". Chris Matthews is there too. but let's not worry about anything, because Queen Noor, widow of King Hussein of Jordan, is at the UN right now, counseling them on conflict resolution.
I feel better, don't you?
Excellent news on Mrs. McGruff!!!
Honey and I just returned from voting here in Georgia, but it's not nearly as satisfying to vote in Republican run-offs. Either candidates will do just fine.

Ok, big deal, Reuters fired the photographer, seems to me they should take some action against their "Global Picture Editor Tom Szlukovenyi "
I can't google more on him than the following:

Copyright Part I: Reuters Is Still Alive...so is the Copyright of PDN
...and therefore "the world's largest international multimedia news agency" has appointed Thomas Szlukovenyi to the newly created post of a Global Picture News Editor to "manage Reuters global team of 400 photographers who produce up to 1,000 pictures every day." APAD re-reports (and you soon will see why we quote APAD) that "Reuters will hire roughly 15 new staff photographers in the U.S. in the next several months as part of a plan to boost the wire service's coverage in targeted areas."
APAD links back to a PDN Online story: "Reuters To Embark On Hiring Spree".
Cynthia McKinney run-off
"Polls opened at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday for Georgias primary runoff election. A number of statewide issues should be decided Tuesday, including the seat for the Fourth Congressional District, where incumbent Cynthia McKinney is running against challenger Hank Johnson.
According to InsiderAdvantage.com, as of Tuesday morning, Johnson led with 53 percent to McKinneys 40 percent, with seven percent still undecided.
DeKalb election officials expected Tuesdays race to double what is normally a low turnout.
Were pretty confident of victory, said Johnson, because weve been working hard for the last eight months
Were doing great, McKinney said enthusiastically. Were doing fine."
