PORTLAND, Maine -- U.S. Sen. Susan Collins and two of her Senate colleagues are headed to Antarctica to meet with leading researchers studying climate change.
Collins left Washington Tuesday for what will be an eight-day visit to McMurdo Station. She's joined by fellow Republicans John McCain of Arizona and John Sununu of New Hampshire.

Who's paying for this, BTW?
I heard that....what a HOOT...and this trip is such a waste of OUR $$$$$$!
History will slap them like the clowns that they are.
And if taxpayers are picking up the tab for this junket I want to know why.
Can't we leave them there? They're to stupid to notice the'd be alone on an ice shelf. Hell, Collins'll probably think she's still in Maine.
When our founding fathers envisioned citizen government, no one ever contemplated a political class of do-gooders that steal money from the people.
It does not surprise me that we are having to pay for this, which I am sure we are. I try to keep the faith that America won't put up with this crap forever.
We need a third party.
I agree with that. But the last time I voted 3rd party, Clinton got into office. (I know, please forgive me, it was my first time voting and I bought into the spin, even though my state (oklahoma)still went for Bush 41).
But, it may have to get alot worse before it gets better. It just amazes me that a person, a Congressman/woman, would think it is okay to spend taxpayer dollars to go on a trip like that.
RINOS. urghhhh!
The phrase is too easily spread around here.
Sununu has a 95% rating with the American Conservative Union.

Upset about his libertarian views sometimes, YES!
Did I write when he stood together with Schumer and Leahy on the Patriot Act, YES!
But he's no RINO.
We need a new, national third party. With a written list of agreed upon principles that the candidate promises to abide by, with a stipulation that if the candidate ever decides he/she can't abide by those principles the candidate will promptly resign.
Just go with it. It's a play on March of the Penguins, and it's hilarious. Besides, Sununu earns megapoints in the RINO lottery just by being there.
More like a House of Whores.
I'm not so sure about that. The "progressives" always find a way to sanitize their sins. Margaret Sanger's still worshiped by many even though her junk science eventually got millions of people sent to the gas chambers.
Hopefully these latest clowns jump on some other pop fad before this Global Warming baloney causes something similar.
Just go with it.
OK, March On! I listened to Rush too.
That's the House of Reps. But both houses are just one big cesspool.
When our founding fathers envisioned citizen government, no one ever contemplated a political class of do-gooders that steal money from the people.

I don't agree. That's why the founding fathers went and put in the first 10 amendments to the constitution. Results may vary.
By the way, I didn't even know Sununu was there until I went searching for the story in order to post it. So, I am mainly talking about Collins and McCain. :)
