Pat Robertson: Sharon Punished for Dividing Israel

The Rev. Pat Robertson said Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is being punished by God for dividing the Land of Israel. Robertson, speaking on the “700 Club” on Thursday, suggested Sharon, who is currently in an induced coma, and former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, assassinated by an Israeli extremist in 1995, were being treated with enmity by God for dividing Israel. “He was dividing God’s land,” Robertson said. “And I would say, Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the E.U., the United Nations or the United States of America. God says, This land belongs to me. You better leave it alone.”

Look Muggs, I really don't mean to embarrass you, but you have to understand; what you posted is like giving a state trooper a note from your mom when he asks you for proof of insurance.

There is a procedure for referencing a source that everybody with higher education knows, and uses without even thinking about it. It's how they can tell if someone is using a source that really knows what it's talking about.

You wouldn't listen to someone telling you how to raise kids whose own kids were little monsters, would you? But the person whose kids are little monsters might still try to give you advice.

The procedure I mentioned earlier is how people can tell if the writing came from someone who DOESN'T KNOW their kids are little monsters.

Now you have to understand, by not using that procedure you've let everyone else know you don't know the difference between someone who knows what they're talking about, and someone who doesn't. Just because someone wrote something down, and published it, doesn't mean it's a "fact."

What you posted comes from someone trying to pull the wool over your eyes. I'll give you an example.

That's what's known as a non-sequitur. It means what this person wrote doesn't prove what they say it does. It would be like me saying you own a car, and a cadillac is a car, so that proves you own a cadillac!

It also means the writer either doesn't understand the one doesn't prove the other, or the writer is trying to trick you.

He's trying to make you think all Bible studies are the same, and he's hoping you'll get so upset by what he says that you won't stop to wonder why he didn't show you where he got this information, or if he might be lying to you.

I want you to know, I don't blame you for making a mistake... but what you're saying *is* wrong, and people are mad at you because they think you're telling lies about them on purpose.

And remember, when ever you post something to prove what you're saying, you MUST also tell people where you got it from, or they'll thing you are trying to trick them like this writer tricked you.
