This cretin "asked to testify"---

Translation: this cretin wants a plea bargain, including some kind of immunity for his heinous crime.

Calling this creep a "whistleblower" is unbelievable, but exactly the pathetic victim image the Rats/MSM want to establish.

Congress isn't carved out of criminal law, except for what is said on the floor of Congress.

They have been leaking secrets for years - see anyone go to prison for it?

"I intend to report to Congress probable unlawful and unconstitutional acts conducted while I was an intelligence officer with the National Security Agency and with the Defense Intelligence Agency," Mr. Tice stated in the Dec. 16 letters, copies of which were obtained by The Washington Times."

The FBI needs to pick this man up, send him to Gitmo, and execute him.

He is not a whiisleblower, he is a traitor.

If Gonzales known who he is, why doesn't he arrest the scumbag? Let him testify all he wants, but he can then be sent away for 40 years to life in a Federal, pound-me-in-the-ass prison.

So this person gets to call themselves a "whistle-blower" and define what is illegal because of something they don't like even though they are bound by confidentiality?

Well, duh. Didn't we learn anything from the famous Joe Wilson and his super-spy wife Valerie? /sarc

I hadn't heard that anyone had been fingered.

I am stunned to think the DoJ knows who this guy is, and haven't arrested him!

And don't forget the made-for-tv movies already in the works.

Oh, scratch that: Spielberg's not busy. They'll get him to direct a feature.

Google Russ Tice. I find it interesting that as far back as May 2005 he was blowing the "whistle-blowers" "whistle."

Who is Russ Tice?

Will he/she have to testify in this DOJ investigation?
The lawbreaker can't simply demand an audience their choosing. There has to be some way to put the screws to these types and send the leakers through the proper government channels.

Tice, Russ; Former Intelligence Analyst & Action Officer, Air Force, Naval Intelligence, DIA and NSA
Russ Tice worked technical intelligence issues as an all-source analyst, systems instructor, special programs expert, technical missions operations action officer, tasking agent, field intelligence on-site analyst and liaison, and advanced capabilities officer. Known as a stickler for technical detailed analysis and “by the book” on security regs. After returning from a temporary overseas assignment in 2001, he observed that a DIA coworker exhibited the classic signs of involvement in espionage. After quietly reporting this, his suspicion was quickly dismissed by DIA’s counterintelligence (CI) office. He continued to observe activity to suggest there was a problem and reported such. He returned to the National Security Agency and, busy with the Iraqi War, dropped the issue. When noting a report that FBI CI agents availed secrets to a China source for sex, he questioned the FBI’s competence. NSA retaliated by having him declared crazy, revoking his security clearance, and terminating his employment in May 2005.

He is not a whiisleblower, he is a traitor.

If he's the leaker, yes he is a traitor. But if he's not, but rather just disagrees with the policy, and will testify in closed session to the appropriate Congress Critters, and not to any Congressional staff. Then that's fine. But his is not the decision to release any information to anyone not cleared for it, except Congressmen of the appropriate positions. If he does that, he is guilty of a federal felony, and most likely guilty of treason.

look at the Gertz article...the letters came to the time the same day as the other NSA stuff. Pretty Shifty if you ask me.

Not to mention that in the Gertz article...he says he was not part of the intercept program which has been in the news.

Other articles show this guy as having failed his psych evaluation.

"Drudge" is attributing the story to WorldNetDaily. WND has no story yet. I lose track of the kooks, is WorldNutDaily the kooks? or is it NewzMax?

Washington Times is what I found on Drudge NSA whistleblower asks to testify
