It shows you what an incredible grip the Baby Boomer culture has on America.

The music featured in so many TV commercials is evidence that Madison Avenue knows us baby boomers have a grip on the cash and the remote control.

At any rate, I might actually watch the halftime show this year. Last year? I and millions of other baby boomers tuned out.

"Gen-Xers" needn't fret too much; next year it'll be your turn again with your Justin Timberlakes, Britney Spearses, Christina Aguileras, etc. Maybe you'll get real lucky and have some rap and/or metal cr*p. Meanwhile, our TV will be switched to pretty much anything else, and I'll be over at the appetizer table. ;O)

They're Gen-Y, actually. Though it's telling that the Boomers are still hogging so much of the spotlight that you couldn't tell the difference. :)

(P.S. Ozzy Osbourne, the metal godfather, is a Boomer.)
