What a thread! Excellent opening statement, and I could not agree more with your conclusions. Would it be possible to do a class action against a network for bias? ( I know that's probably in the thread somewhere.)

Thank you. I'll save this page and work on it tonight. I put my media player in my F drive. All I could get it to do was play music I downloaded. I've tried so many times to hear Rush. I could hear maybe two words, it'd stop for long periods. It was so frustrating. I've never listened to his show.

I prefer it to be used exclusively for counter-terrorism. I do not want another perversion like the RICO act. (Even knowing a heinous crime was prevented.)
If law enforcement needs the equivalent power for those circumstances, give it to them, but don't do it under the Patriot Act.

I don't care what label they stick to the act. The only meaningful debate is in the details. What power does each clause of the statute confer? All the rest is sloganeering - which is about all the public can handle anyway.

Understood, but if it is sold as a counter-terrorism platform, that is what it should be. I am very protective of civil liberties. I will sacrifice in a time of war, but I don't want domestic investigation codified in an "emergency" powers act unless it is plainly advertised.

I expect more from a Republican administration than I do from Dems.

Geraldo was crying with joy and mimicking a West (By God) Virginia accent ("how long have y'all lived in these here hollers?"). It was disgusting.

If you ever listen to Laura Ingraham, she plays clips of the modern day Byrd on the Senate floor that will leave you rolling on the floor.

He and Geraldo would be Planes, Trains and Rusted our Suburbans 2006 style!

At first glance as the beginning of this thread's content displays on the screen:
1. There was the Bar Chart showing good FR donation progress.
2. Immediately below it was a long list of Democrats and Dollar amounts.
3. To me that was funny:
3a. because, there it was – I “saw” an image of a list of liberal democrat donors to FR, and
3b. because liberal democrats – as FR donors? – lots of luck, it would never happen.
4. That’s all my post was, no other meanings or interpretations were intended.

Yes, the words “Received At Least” in every line, were not noticed. They now stand out clearly.
To make matters worse, my post went as a reply to Post #2 instead of the article reply place of Post#1.

Once in a while my attempts at humor go sour. Some humorous inspirations are best ignored.
I am sorry to all of my fellow Freepers that this was one of those times.
I am also sorry to have added to thread clutter. Lesson: Pause, think again, then post or don’t post.

Thanks to everyone associated with FR for all the good that you do. God bless you.

Now I will take a fresh cup of coffee and myself out back to the FR Doghouse.
