Sweep them all out and start over.

Aye, but with conditions:

1. Term limits.

2. Part time.

3. No more than 10% can be lawyers.

4. HMO health insurance and 401K retirement only.

What puzzles me is:

Why doesn't one Republican NOT on the take come out and say both parties have done it?

Not covering for anyone. What I am is providing the facts that are being covered up by the Failed Media. I have NO problem frying Congressional Republicans on the take, what I DO demand is they ALSO hold the DEMOCRATS to the SAME standard.

This is a true story

I worked one legislative session in my state's senate as a committee staffer

Many of the media had lapel pins with the Roman numeral III on them. I asked one what it meant. His honest answer (later corroborated by a fellow staffer) -

"There are two Constitutional legislative houses - the Senate and the House of Reps. The Press is the third legislative house."

I don't have a link of Republicans, but here's a link from Slate.
http://www.slate.com/id/2133666/nav/tap1/

They figure that the vulnerable Republicans include

Tom DeLay - The former House majority leader once toasted Abramoff as "one of my closest and dearest friends."
(sl notes "Yikes!")

Rep. Robert Ney - who took a golf trip to Scotland on Abramov's tab

Rep. John Dolittle — "...The California congressman's wife, Julie, did fund-raising work for Abramoff, and her company's records have been subpoenaed by the grand jury investigating Abramoff. "

Ralph Reed— "..Reed received millions from Jack and his partner in order to wage "grass-roots" anti-gambling campaigns. "

Grover Norquist — "...The president of Americans for Tax Reform and longtime Abramoff friend, Norquist donated $1 million in ATR funds to an anti-lottery and gaming coalition, a portion of which supported Ralph Reed's phony grass-roots organizing for Abramoff. "

David Safavian —"...The Bush administration's former chief procurement official has already been charged with obstruction and making false statements to federal investigators and Senate aides investigating Abramoff."

Sen. Conrad Burns — "..The chairman of the House Interior appropriations subcommittee, Burns
took legislative action favorable to Abramoff's clients in the Northern Mariana Islands around the time he took $12,000 in donations from Abramoff and a key garment-company executive in the islands. "
