Dear Nutmeg,
No need to thank me. It's for people like those I have been fortunate to meet on FreeRepublic that I wear my uniform every day- even the Lettermans of America deserve the freedom secured by the military. I wonder what rights he would have given up for Clinton. It is ironic how loudmouthed these jokers are, knowing they won't end up in a KGB prison or simply go missing, like they would in ANY other country. I've had the opportunity to spend almost half of my life overseas and have seen the light, so to speak, of how fantastic this country is. We truly are a beacon to the world of Freedom.
Side note: during the campaign to garner support to go to war, the left constantly spoke of using "global standards" for everything. They leave out the important stuff like most countries forcing taxpayers to support churches through "church taxes", 50 percent income tax on second incomes, state-run economies, etc. And, more importantly, just like in Nicaragua (with the Sandinistas), the media/entertainers/elite would be the first to be taken care of.... if they ever really got their way.
