On January 4, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) the Rose Bowl Game will host the BCS National Championship, between USC and Texas once again showcasing the best of collegiate football in "The Granddaddy of Them All."® The Rose Bowl will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio.

Apparently, neither had Georgia! Man, that was ugly. I live north of Atlanta but was an EE at UT, so I'm both a Longhorn and Bulldog fan. I think I'm going 0-2 this year...

I agree with you there 100%. The media (mainly ESPN) is focusing on Vince Young as the only offensive weapon we have. Obviously they never saw Romance, Selvin, nor Jammal run the ball this last fall. And Jammal should be at full strength tonight because he was hobbled with that ankle for the last few game of the season.

It's going to be even more fun to here the spin tonight from ESPN on how the University of Spoiled Children lost. Not how the University of Texas won.

I was rooting for tOSU the other night because I wanted another one of USC's opponents exposed. I was sick and tired of how strong USC schedule and the PAC 10 was vs. the BIG 12 and the Horn's schedule.

I was happy to see Okie U beat AFLAC and Tulsa beat Fresno. Likewise it was sweet seeing Rutgers coming within a play of beating Arizona State. Along with Berkley barley getting by a weak BYU, the PAC 10 has been proved to be a paper tiger and the Horns will prove that tonight as well.

Next year's matchup in Austin between tOSU and the Horns will have a ton of hype too. I predict UT will be preseason #1 and tOSU will be #2 and the QB's will be fun to watch.

I like USC because I think USC's defense will surprise people tonight, and they've had one month to prepare for this game. Pete Carroll is primarily a defense-oriented guy.

USC has talent on defense, but they haven't played well as a unit. But I think they will play with a chip on their shoulder, and will slow down Texas enough.

Even if the media is taking UT lightly (they aren't, UT just don't have a good a story as USC), I can guarantee that the team and Pete Carrol are not. It should be a good game.
