Her “specialization” is the sociology of heavy metal rock music.

In my experience, most metal is right-wing and anti-Marxist.

In my experience, most metal is right-wing and anti-Marxist.

And Metallica's uber-patriotic anthem "Don't Tread On Me" immediately starts playing in my head.

"Punk rock" (which has become totally corporate-mainstream now - heh heh) draws the Reds, hippies, "world citizens", and other assorted trash. (I want to feed the lead singer of Green Day my Harley boot)

METAL, on the other hand, draws in the flag-waving Americans who like to hear buzz-saw guitars while blasting away at the firing range.

RIP, Dimebag!

Gotta disagree with you there. In the 70s, there were definitely some conservative elements in heavy metal.
It went faggy inthe 80s, and then, with the advent of grunge, almost uniformaly left-wing.
