The interior ministers of two German states have recently advanced important measures for containing radical Islam. They bear close attention across the West.
In Baden-Wurtenberg, Heribert Rech (of the ruling Christian Democratic Union party) has overseen the administering of a 30-topic loyalty test for applicants to become naturalized citizens. Following an intensive and sophisticated study by the Baden-Wurtenberg government of Muslim life, it developed a manual for the naturalization authorities explaining that applicants for citizenship must concur with the "free, democratic, constitutional structure" of Germany.

Applicants who pass the test and are granted citizenship could later lose that citizenship if they act inconsistently with their "correct" answers.
I believe that it is not a sin for a Muslim to lie to a non Muslim so this may be difficult to have a "working method" to identify the enemy. Good try from the heartland of Germany though -- maybe they are getting it??
It's about time that this attitude is being recognized. I believe, however, that the 21 percent figure is very low. One might believe that the 21 percent are the radical Islamists. I believe that, should the Muslims gain a political plurality in any country, the other 79 percent would get on board instantly and it would all be over for the affected country.
In my opinion, Islam is totally incompatible with Western culture. I don't think that we should kid ourselves about this, current efforts at political correctness notwithstanding.
What are the odds that we would adopt the same thing here in the U.S., zero?
They hate the West. Why are they here ?
It might be possible to expand the citizenship questioning process, but it wouldn't be permitted to confine extended questioning to Muslims only -- little old grandmothers from Taiwan would also have to be subjected to it.
I can't imagine a "tagging" procedure would be permitted, unless or until numerous more 9/11 type attacks occur.
A procedure like this wouldn't have even helped us prevent 9/11, because the terrorists were not even US citizens nor had they applied for citizenship.
Might have helped prevent the London subway bombings, though, as those involved were British citizens.
I think it should be applied to everyone, little old grandmothers too. I see nothing wrong with expecting applicants who pass the test and are granted citizenship to act consistent with the answers in which they have been sworn.
No one is claiming this procedure would have prevented 9/11, but it would be a handy way to get rid of future terrorists and anti-American types whose actions belie the sworn answers they give on the test in order to become citizens.
Unfortunately, the western societies have gaven up trying to maintain their "native" numbers. Their birthrates are now at a level which will not even sustain their population...native germany is losing native germans, but gaining islamic germans, native danish are losing native danes but gaining islamic danes, and france...ah france...is already lost to islam IMO. All that is left is the weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth as the native french women put on their burkas
So goes europe...unless the european europeans find some way to stem the islamic infestation.
"They hate the West. Why are they here ?"
lol.... To bomb our schools and rape our women. Duh..
Mohammed Attta planned the 9/11 attack in Germany so I believe that it would have helped. The radicals have a much freer environment in Europe than in the US.
With Germany's new tilt to the right it appears that they may fill some of the security holes.
Good question. My guess would be to take advantage of all the freebies that we taxpayers provide and to eventually acquire new territory.
Everyone should understand that there is no real separation between church and state in Germany. The state actually collects your tithing from your paycheck just like any other tax. The article mentions two german states that are firming up their rules regarding naturlization. I'm sure it's also confusing to many that german states are run more like independant medieval city/states.
