Kennedy spokeswoman Laura Capps insisted to the Boston Globe: "Even if the intelligence on WMD was faulty, it did not detract from Bush's broader point that the Hussein administration has gone too far in ignoring UN resolutions and violating the "Food for Oil Program" and was an overall menace to the region and the rest of the world.
