Bush Defends Domestic Spying Program

President Bush Defends Domestic Spying Program, Claims Leak Causes Great Harm to U.S.

SAN ANTONIO - President Bush on Sunday strongly defended his domestic spying program, saying it's a limited program that tracks only incoming calls to the United States.

Bush spoke to reporters at Brooke Army Medical Center where he was visiting wounded troops. He said the fact that someone leaked information about the secret order to eavesdrop on Americans with suspected ties to terrorists causes great harm to the nation.

"It's seems logical to me that if we know there's a phone number associated with al-Qaida or an al-Qaida affiliate and they're making phone calls, it makes sense to find out why," Bush said. "They attacked us before, they'll attack us again."

Asked how he responds to Americans worried about violations of their privacy, Bush responded, "If somebody from al-Qaida is calling you, we'd like to know why."

The president said that he is conscious of people's civil liberties.

"This is a limited program designed to prevent attacks on the United States of America and, I repeat, limited," he said.

Another Media Biased FAKE HEADLINE from AP.

The LIS is calling the "NSA LEAK" by its' media biased wording "DOMESTIC SPYING".

President Bush, "If al qaeda is calling you, we want to know why."

Perhaps the Dec. 16 headline in the New York Times should have read “Bush Beating Terrorism with Congressional Approval of Eavesdropping” instead of “Bush Lets U.S. Spy on Callers without Courts.”

Thank You Asso. Propaganda for once again demonstrating how completely unreadable a source of news you are and what Complete Democrat Party Propaganda Whores you have become. The "News Media" posts it worst year ever in 2005 and YET it insists on starting out 2006 clinging to their failed delusion that they matter a wit to the American People. Hey AP, it is EXACTLY this sort of propaganda pretending to be "news" coverage which is why Journalists have a Job Approval rating with the American People in the low 30% range.

Bush responded, "If somebody from al-Qaida is calling you, we'd like to know why."

LOL! Yes, the Libs are too stupid to understand that simple statement. Maybe Durbin, Kennedy, Reid and Dean have a good reason to take Osama's calls.

The LIE is calling the "NSA LEAK" by its' media biased wording "DOMESTIC SPYING".

That's right! If you are listening in on the enemy whereever they are, it is not domestic spying.

It is engaging in military defense of the NATION!

"If somebody from al-Qaida is calling you, we'd like to know why."

This is definitely the Quote of the Year for 2005 AND 2006.

Calling this story "NSA LEAK" tells the reader or viewer that it was bad to reveal a program that goes after terrorists and terrorist cohorts within the U.S.

Calling the story "DOMESTIC SPYING" is lie to make a busy public think that President Bush is spying on Grandma.

FAKE HEADLINES for the FAKE NEWS to be followed by a FAKE POLL to justify the FAKE NEWS.

Exactly, something which the commander in chief is delegated power to do by the Constitution, and which, in regards to foreign terrorists, was specifically authorized by Congress in it's resolution of 9-14-01, which IIRC passed 98-0 and 420-1 in the Senate and House Respectively. (Technically it was the House's own version that passed 420-1, while the Senate version was accepted by the House "without objection".)

This battle is already won. All that Bush need to is repeat this phrase.

The moronic leftists stepped in it again. They're such losers.
