Well, this is just great. I got my old cedar shingle roof torn off last week and they were supposed to re-shingle on Wednesday. Right now it's covered with plastic sheeting. I sure hope it holds up...

Light rain in Napa. The river is well within it's banks throughout the town area at this time.

56.4deg. 52%rh 29.35" Hg falling. Wind 30 mph from the south. Lights are flickering as lines are being shorted or going down in the area. But all in all not that bad here in the Sacramento Valley.

I know, I miss Buffalo too. But this is what we deal with here. I really, really want to experience some weather soon. Fog in the winter, and 100+ degrees in the summer is pretty boring.

Rained a couple a' inches today already.

Well our road finally cleared up in Alexander Valley. No big deal, happens every few years.

BUT looks like the Geyserville bridge (Hwy 128, Sonoma County) is about to collapse. It lost one of the support pillars in the Russian River and is sagging.

They just evacuated River Rock Casino because the other roads out are projected to close. The casino sits across from one of my ranches and is a constant thorn to the neighborhood. They had landslide issues in the past but I cannot tell if there are any problems now.

Few sprinkles in Los Angeles so far and that was it.

Couple of hours before it starts I think.

The power just came back on in my area of Lake Arrowhead, almost 6 hours without. Some areas still without power. About 2 inches of slush on the ground and 6 and one half inches of rain in 24 hours.

Big Bear is 1200 ft. higher, I would imagine the got mucho snow.

Holy cow, are you up from the lake to avoid all flooding?
Did you start to freeze in the house?
Are the neighbors OK?

We are 200 ft. above the lake. The lake level was about 18 in. below full and the water release gates. It was a bit cold, but we had fires in both fireplaces and kept warm while watching movies on the laptops.
