I didn't know commies from Ukraine ruled the Soviet Union for 30 years, but I know Stalin deliberately starved to death more than a hundred million Ukrainians. The point is that was then, this is now and there's a better, more prosperous way for everyone. Bullying your neighbors generally foments anger and some form of revenge down the line. God knows Russians have had a tough time since the collapse of the Soviet Union. I wish things were different, but change takes trust, time and effort. Putin's job isn't easy and this squabble over Russian gas won't help matters.
