It reminds of those old pictures of the tourists at Yellowstone getting out of their cars to feed the bears, then little Johhny gets bit, and everyone blames the bear.

Sharks will bite things as a way of assessing what an object is. One bite from something that big means you are likely to bleed out in a matter of minutes.

He exited the cage to swim with a great white shark.
Sorry but the ghoul in me wishes his stupidity would have been rewarded in a more "dis-arming" sort of way........

You've probably seen this before; but:
http://www.magicarchive.com/jawsbunnies.swf
(right-click on the link and save it to your drive - it runs better that way. and then click on the bunny at the end of the show)
(is it possible to post a live link to a SWF file on here?)

After about 10 minutes of recording video and noticing that the large animal was not behaving aggressively, Hall realized this was his chance to fulfill a lifelong dream. He exited the cage to swim with a great white shark.
Darwin Award candidate... but God looks out for fools sometimes.

imo, the guy is a tad off to go swim with a great white, but it was a really neat video to watch. I was wondering about the scars on her sides, but the article confirmed what I was figuring.
personally, I get a little nervous swimming in the Indian and Banana Rivers down in FL, since there are bull sharks in there.
