"Latrina" brought out the good, the bad, and the ugly in a lotta folks. The bad and the ugly unfortunately have a knack for temporarily taking the focus off of the good sometimes.
You put the NOLA uglies with the HOU uglies, and it's bad bongos.
A DMN person who was on the committee for the TOTY selection said on our news that they fought about all the others, but Houston was unanimous for #1. (YEA!!!!) And mostly because of the Astrodome being the largest shelter ever in the US.
And then she said it was also things like there not being enough towels in the A'dome for the evacuees and our volunteers took the dirty towels home with them, laundered them, and brought them back early the next morning. Awwwwwwwww ....
