Only by an hour. :-)
Happy New Year! (I will drink to all the time zones!)
You put the NOLA uglies with the HOU uglies, and it's bad bongos.
A DMN person who was on the committee for the TOTY selection said on our news that they fought about all the others, but Houston was unanimous for #1. (YEA!!!!) And mostly because of the Astrodome being the largest shelter ever in the US.
And then she said it was also things like there not being enough towels in the A'dome for the evacuees and our volunteers took the dirty towels home with them, laundered them, and brought them back early the next morning. Awwwwwwwww ....
HAPPY NEW YEAR PACIFICANS!!!!
What happened in Houston, after Katrina, is probably what will seal Gov. Perry's re-election.
Wait, not yet! I haven't even seen Dick Clark yet! I tink you miscounted those peas. LOL (but thank you and Happy New Year to you, too!)
There is no H in my think. oops!
Okay..this old body has had it...
I know that you in the left coast still have an hour...but, I have had an unexpected stressful day...thanks to a broken refrigerator...so I have to put my house back together tomorrow...
I am gonna have positive thoughts about eeevil...that she is having fun..and that there has been a mistake..and she will be on tomorrow.
paulat...you have been a terrific "host" for this thread..and I look forward to many hours tomorrow..
Good night everyone...and Happy New Year!
Good night Tx and happy New Year! I'll be keeping the same thoughts about eeevil.
Just keep counting those peas...and when I check back in tomorrow...I will expect that you have been counting all night long...LOL
Good night TX! Sleep tight. Thanks for holding muh sparkler whilst I started counting my black-eyed peas! Be sure to eat yours!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Back atcha, Big H, fellow Texan of the Year!!
We can hope. There's always the forgotten Rita, though. She made me a FReeper!
OMG!!! So sorry!!!! I certainly did miscount!!!!
SAPPY NEW YEAR TO ME!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE MOUNTAINIANS, AND MRS. CALABASH, WHEREVER YOU ARE!
NO HAPPY NEW YEAR YET, PACIFICANS. Sorry, sorry.
Yeah, y'all always got to party like it's 1999 till the wee hours, and we didn't get to see it! I always *wondered* what that Vegas New Year's show was really like! That's probably why I'm a night owl to this day. Don't wanna miss anything.
Apologies again for thinking "Santa Fe" and "Denver" instead of "L.A." and "The OC," heh.
Other than that, it was awesome! :)
I hope you all have a great New Year. Yes, even you over there, who I have nasty flame wars with.
New Years is the one time being 3 hours behind is a positive!
G'night all!
Cheers!

I am raising my glass to a better 2006 for you. How can it not be?
Sounds like you and I are about even on 2005, except mine started in 2004! Repeat after me ...
"This, too, shall pass ... this, too, shall pass ... this, too, shall pass ..."
Then click your heels together ...
