well get ready, the naval observatory is about to move the clock one second ahead which is done only once every 7 yrs and hasnt been done since the tech boom; everything may hiccup if servers are not synched. fyi in control panel there is date and time settings and in there you can synch your pc clock to the atomic clock.

I have just three characters for you -

I really miss my Dad...but, he has been gone for a long time..and he was NOT in good shape when he died...

Hugs for you and your Dad...hold him close, and wish him a Happy New Year from me.

What is worse is the smell that emanates from one who has had a heaping helping. Just gag!

I am sorry. I'm already running the SETI @ Home screensaver. I have no leftover CPU time after trying to catch ET phoning here. Sorry! :-)

Just a post I saw over at "folding:"

http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/5009

http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/

December 23, 2005 Yesterday we stopped accepting results for SETI@home Classic. The Classic project stats are now frozen.

December 15, 2005 A story about SETI@home's transition to BOINC appears in the Nature web site.

December 15, 2005 After 6 years of operation, SETI@home Classic sent out its last workunit. We will clean up and synchronize the Classic stats with the current SETI@home project in the coming weeks. Thanks to all SETI@home Classic participants for their tremendous dedication to the project. You made SETI@home into something of lasting significance.

I'd do what he's doing, if I were physically capable of it. However, I couldn't do it at this particular time in my life. More power to him!

one of my husband's least favorite memories of Vietnam was the smell of kimchi

Hey Tx,

I remember it as foul smelling also when I was Deputy Sheriff and did those search warrants on some VietNamese.

Once it's 'done' and in the jar it's not so bad.

Since she makes it I don't have to put up with the smell.

Good thing she likes it and is willing to make it.

BTW. Happy New Year to you and hubby and of course ALL Freepers.
