"Oh, so now they are using the BUSH tactic - not commenting on an ongoing investigation!"

Okay- so they are not commenting. Do we apply the same standard to the NY Times as they do to the President. If they do not comment- that must automatically mean that the NY Times is guilty.

Though this IS good news, dont be surprised when the leaking sources turn out to be certain RINOs on the Hill.

This would not surprise me. RINO's are bald-faced careerists, in it purely for themselves, and have no discernible scruples about loyalty to the president or national security.

I think the issue is that there is nothing constitutional protecting them from revealing their sources

Correct, and do you recall that after Miller went to jail there was quite a bit of MSM whining that they should have this protection?

The recent spate of crybaby articles from the MSM about traveling to the Middle East on Air Force 2 and C-130s has really exposed them as a bunch of spoiled little brats.

And just as an off-topic addenda, I have it on uinimpeachable second-hand info that NY Slimes reporter Mr. Dee Dee Myers (Todd Purdum) was scared beyond reason that he'd be an Iraq embed in 2003.

Reporters, are they even more corrupt and despicable than lawyers?

Journalists will wrap themselves in the First Amendment. It apparently has emanating penumbras now that protect Benedict Arnolds.

Maddening...one would think National Security would trump Journalism every single time.

For the most part, there aren't any real reporters anymore; there are journalists. There is a difference.

Journalists love those "emanating penumbras."

god..I hope you are right! My bets are on Rockefeller being the leaker. Last year, when his 'memo' got 'leaked', he came out in front of the cameras sweating like a pig and looked more nervous than a cat on a hot tin roof. I said then, that there was more to his nervous look than that memo.

Chuckie Schumer and the Dems are pushing hard for a Shield Law for journalists so that leaks can be a weapon for them.

I agree with your premise and I believe Durbin and Wyden are involved too. They are all in big trouble. If civilian and military have to follow these laws then those that make them are even more accountable. Gonzales is going to fry these people.

Lambreth...who is that? Is he on the secret court? Did he resign? I think resignation (suspension) is a key to all this. AG sent someone or went himself to (or called him in) Robertson was shown their evidence and the rest is history. If it wasn't that strong this guy would still be sitting on that court...that can be counted on. LIBERALS NEVER RESIGN...

Finally...

This will not be on the Sunday talking head shows because the football bowl games will be playing...

The management of news sure seems to need upgrading...

"The original Slimes story cited NSA employees, IIRC"

I thought they called them- "current and former goverment officials". Maybe they called them NSA employees- but I thought the NY Times was more vague than that.

Has Kerry made a pre-emptive statement on this yet? The WH is up in 15 min.

He's just dumb enough to do it. If he's not at home in France.
