The lawyer said a very long sentence for whoever leaked the information.

LOL. I've got many granola type friends and acquaintances myself. Sometimes, you just have to wonder.
It is very good for me to be around people who don't agree with me all the time, though. Keeps me thoughtful and sharp. Well, as thoughtful and sharp as I can be.
There comes a point, though, when you just shake your head and figure at least they know one conservative family that isn't Hitler or the Devil. Otherwise, they'd drive me crazy.

I would go so far as to say rarely. Truth and news may accidentally pass each other in the halls from time to time, but they seldom actually meet. You are so right. If truth won out all the time as this poster proclaims, Bush would be appreciated by a greater percentage of Americans, Jayna Davis would have her info on OKC accepted by the Justice Department , and a great number of other matters would have been exposed. Some people just like to dream, Wolfstar.
I'm still waiting to find out what was in Sandy Berger's fancy pants.

I see the NYT is pushing the whisle-blower line. Ain't going to work. No it won't. The public sees this issue much more clearly than the ACLU, the Dems, or the New York Times.
We will have to pay a steep price, however. Prepare to suffer though a preachy George Cloney movie about a heroic "whistle blower" persecuted because he put THE TRUTH above oil-company sponsored secrecy. Count on it.

It's amusing how many, even here, forget this and jump in with the loosing hand.

I'm getting flamed today. I almost feel like a troll. LOL. Sometimes it "burns" to tell the truth.
;-)
I was just called out by another FReeper for referring to him/her as Pollyanna.
LOL.
Sometimes it hurts to tell the truth. We FReepers are all on the same side, but we all must also understand that the old commie/liberal media is still very destructive and formidable. They still effect the weak opinions of the relatively uninformed in this country, and unfortunately the relatively uninformed is still a majority.
It's a long haul.
****
The old established/liberal/socialist media is America's most ruthless, relentless, and destructive enemy.

``The leaking of classified information is a serious issue,'' Duffy said. ``The fact is that al-Qaeda's playbook is not printed on Page One, and when America's is, it has serious ramifications.''

"Senators are questioning whether the eavesdropping violates the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act because the spying took place without court-approved warrants."
Is it overly simple to think that by the DOJ investigation (announcement), these Senators were just told to STFU?
