If the government does not have the balls to put a stop to these leaks we will just see more of the same.
Why is the word treason never used?

We need some leaker's figurative blood in the water. That's the only thing that's going to quickly kill the leaking frenzy.

...to fight the housecleaning that Porter Goss has initiated...This is the entire reason for the treasonous behavior by some(one) at the CIA. Also, the reference about pushing back against the Bush Admin.

First time I have heard the word "treason" was this morning. Adam Housley of Fox on "Fox and Friends" used it and was unapologetic about it. I thought this significant as E.D. and Brian didn't disipute his use of it at all.
I wonder if Fox has knowledge of administration actions against the leaks.

Bill Bennett's take on this is on his website this morning and has been picked up by Powerlineblog.com as well. I want heads to roll and the CIA, the NYT and the WaPo.

This is a very dangerous time. The old commie-symps of the 60's are in positions of priviledge and power and too few have dropped their collectivist and egalitarian "ideals" and their unremitting agitprop against America is frightening.
No doubt they think themselves acting in good conscience - rare are they who intend evil - but they must be identified, exposed, arrested, indicted, tried and executed a.s.a.p.
This is Treason.

I actually like the fact that this is being talked about.
It puts the issue about National Security in the forefront and Democrats lose when National Security is the issue.

Let me be clear, though.
I'm saying taking into account that there are traitorous scumbags that are going to leak this stuff anyway.

There was ANOTHER TOP SECRET leak today. The leak stated that US soldiers are actually killing terrorist in Afghanistan and Iraq. Where does the administration get off by thinking that it has this authority to keep this SECRET from the MSM. (/S/)

treason - noun - a crime that undermines the offender's government
If the definition fits, they gotta get bit. (With apologies to J. Cochran.)
I pray the Justice Department is working behind the scenes to take down these scumbags.

I dont know if its true or not. But Mike Savage said that Lincoln rounded up journalist like this and put them on a ship in the Potomac until after the Civil War was over.

Did you guys read the article about GST?

But a former CIA officer said the agency "lost its way" after Sept. 11, rarely refusing or questioning an administration request. The unorthodox measures "have got to be flushed out of the system," the former officer said. "That's how it works in this country." Yes, the CIA did such a swell job tracking terrorists pre-911, they want to go back to their old 'orthodox' (i.e. ineffectual) ways.

Another major Islamo-fascist terrorist attack and journalists will be jailed for not revealing their sources for secret intelligence information.

I can now reveal that GST really stands for "Get Scummy Traitors".
To: bornacatholic
Yeah, that's the frightening thing, these scum bags have come of age and reproduced, they will have to be identified and removed. There are times when I think that democracy as we practice it does'nt work, the unelected media is far too powerful.
