BTW, the British who conquered India did not care to do missions because they have seen the religion as a mere tool of power. There were not very Christian. Not true. Most of the Indian Christian institutes of learning and hospitals were built by the British in India.
Christianity has been in India longer than it has been in Europe. Some of the early converts(especially in Kerala and Goa) were the so-called "high caste" Hindus.

Please, understand me well. I have a great sympathy for Hindus and I see them as spiritual brethren of the ancient Greeks whom I admire. But polytheistic paganism is a forbidden fruit for those who have learned about One God.

Christianity has been in India longer than it has been in Europe.How do you figure? Saint Thomas, the Apostle, brought Christianity to India, however by that time it was also in Rome and the other centers of the Roman Empire.
