OK, OK...it is OK to let the enemy save face by coming over to your side against a new common enemy. We allowed the German Nazis to save face by letting many of them ALLY with the USA against the Soviet Union at the beginning of the Cold War. This alliance ended the Nazi Werewolf insurgency.
We an now get the Sunnis to ask for our help and protection against the Shiites...but the Iranian government is too smart for us. The Iranian government is sponsoring and paying the Sunni insurgency.
The Sunni insurgency are acting against the interest of the Sunnis and IN THE INTEREST of the Shiites by keeping the Sunnis from allying with the Americans to protect themselves from the Shiites.

The Iraq War will not end until the Iranian Government changes. The Sunni Insurgency is a puppet of Iran.

I do find the complaints about the Dems amusing. I hate the left winger nuts more than most (after all I have to see them out working the streets of SF all year) but they are not to blame for the lack of progress in Iraq. Pentagon told White House to provide adequate resources for the occupation and was rebuffed by Rummy. Time for a change of leadership that is interested in winning the war as quickly as possible and getting people over to Iran to handle the next mission.
