CIA couple outed by 5-year-old son

The Washington couple at the heart of the CIA leak investigation had their cover blown by their small son as they tried to sneak away on vacation on Thursday.

"My daddy's famous, my mommy's a secret spy," declared the 5-year-old of his parents, former diplomat Joe Wilson and retired CIA operative Valerie Plame.

The former spy, who just retired from the agency, and the diplomat have been at the center of a CIA leak scandal that has reached into the White House.

They said they were headed to an undisclosed vacation location with their twins but stopped for a brief interview inside the airport terminal.

A special prosecutor has indicted Lewis "Scooter" Libby, a top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, for lying in the investigation and has opened a second grand jury.

Plame's cover at the CIA was blown after her husband accused the Bush administration of twisting prewar intelligence to support military action against Iraq. Wilson said it was deliberately intended to undercut his credibility.

Wilson said he does not know how the current investigation was progressing and has only spoken to the special prosecutor twice, most recently in late September.

Plame would not be interviewed and stood out of hearing distance with the other twin.

Wilson said his wife's retirement allows her to spend more time with the soon to be 6-year-olds. "She enjoyed her career there," Wilson said of the CIA.

Since neither parent is a secret operative of the CIA or any other intelligence agency, their 5 year old did not "blow" anyone's "cover".

Am I going to be the first one to ask how junior figured out that daddy was a spy?

Now Daddy's a spy too? The kid must have seen Joe looking through the bathroom keyhole while Mata Hari was bathing.

ROFL! Kids say the darndest things!

So, if a 5 year old is spouting it off, one has to assume that everyone on the planet knows/knew and this prosecutor's case is without merit.

not that that matters. Scooter's a Republican. That's all that matters.

Is Reuters seriously printing this ridiculous story?

Hurt conservatives, become the darlings of the press. Remember that elderly Democrat activist couple who were fed the(probable NSA intercept) tape of Newt's phone conversation? They were instant heroes.

Isn't it amazing how Reuters continues to push the "Plame's cover at the CIA was blown after her husband accused the Bush administration of twisting prewar intelligence to support military action against Iraq." BS considering that in March of this year, Reuters was one of 36 major news organizations and professional reporters' groups (including CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, The Associated Press, The Tribune Company, The Washington Post, The New York Press Club and The White House Corespondents) who insisted that "no crime" had been committed in the "Plame Leak" case because, among other things, Valerie Plame's identity had previously been disclosed to both the Russians and the Cubans!

On March 23, 2005 these 36 "esteemed" news organizations and professional reporters' groups filed this legal motion which includes the following arguments:

They said they were headed to an undisclosed vacation location with their twins but stopped for a brief interview inside the airport terminal.

They're going on a secret vacation, but Wilson stages a press interview at the airport. But it's really, really secret.

Note the typical grouping. Wilson talks to the reporters. Plame is in the background where she can be seen and photographed, but carefully avoids being seen to break her CIA agreements. When she breaks it, it's only in private.

This reminds me of the recent picture with Wilson up front smirking at the camera and Plame standing in the background in her pajamas, to indicate that she isn't giving the interview.

Am I going to be the first one to ask how junior figured out that daddy was a spy? When I was five I thought my dad was Batman.

No NO No...junior said Daddy was FAMOUS and Mommy was a secret spy. Apparently Joe reads the kids to sleep at night with copies of his Niger after-action report. It seems to have put the DIA to sleep when they read it.

Too bad the reporter did not ask the kid who Karl Rove was.

OK, this kid has got to go on the water board until he admits to being Karl Rove. And, the Reuters reporter needs to be jailed until she reveals her connection with the White House. These security violations are serious business. MAY BE AN IMPEACHABLE OFFENSE HERE.

"My daddy's famous, my mommy's a secret spy," declared the 5-year-old of his parents, former diplomat Joe Wilson and retired CIA operative Valerie Plame. "

So did mommy or daddy tell him this?

Bedtime reading in the Wilson/Plame household begins and ends with the issue of Vanity Fair with the vaunted photo spread of the "famous" daddy and the "secret spy" mommy in a convertible. Daddy has his arm propped up to show off his "$14,000 watch" and Mommy is wearing sunglasses to show that she is "a spy".

The narcissism and self-aggrandizement of this couple and their spawn are so puke provoking that it is surreal.
