What in the hell would she know about California politics anyway?

A lot, given that they've gone from being a solid Republican conservative state to electing a closet communist like Janet Napolitano.

I admire your persistence in arguments with Republican trolls but I think it's more efficient to simply do what you do well.

When a troll launches a deception; post the facts. When the troll spins the facts or attempts a misdirection; post more facts pertinent to the original matter. Trolls run out of energy and enthusiasm for the game long before facts are exhausted.

If a troll can bring you down their level, exchanging personal vitriol, they'll usually win. They have much more experience with life in the gutter or under the bridge. Stay on the high ground, hold your nose with your left and keep pitching with your right until the odor subsides.

"...they've gone from being a solid Republican conservative state to electing a closet communist like Janet Napolitano."

Somehow, I doubt she has connected those particular dots.

Any non-resident presuming to lecture residents about California politics had better damn well be a recognized authority on the subject. This one isn't.

Hildy lived here in San Diego for over 15 years and just recently moved to Arizona. She has every right to comment on CA politics.

"Hildy lived here in San Diego for over 15 years..."

From what I have seen of her posts, you would never know it.

"She has every right to comment on CA politics."

And the rest of us have every right to comment on her comments, including whether we find them to have much merit.

It's only fair to give them one last chance to come clean. It also gives them clear warning of what is to come if they shoot their mouths and I find their posts. As it is, the least that happens is that they run if I show up (as FO usually does). It saves me time to implant a little caution and cleans up the forum a bit in the process, or at least that is the intent.

I tremble. LOL

CO:"As it is, the least that happens is that they run if I show up (as FO usually does)."

How typical of you that you badmouth me behind my back. Now who is afraid of whom? You don't dare to ping me, because you know that your ludicrous allegations can't stand the light of day. Gotcha!

... How typical ...

The ilk herd depends upon each other for support. The first premise of his balderdash is the supposition the if Arnie weren't in the recall McClintock would have won. Had Arnie not been in the race the results would have been just as the results from this latest 'special election' ~ defeat.

>> Again, please explain how a Conservative Republican, in an overwhelmingly Democrat State, could have won? <<

Recent examples of CONSERVATIVE Republicans WINNING statewide office in "overwhemingly Democrat states":

Don Carcieri
Governor of Rhode Island, Served 2003-Present
Republican

Jim Douglas
Governor of Vermont, Served 2003-Present
Republican

Tim Pawlenty
Governor of Minnesota, Served 2003-Present
Republican

Mike Huckabee
Governor of Arkansas, Served 1997-Present
Republican (Yes, the Clinton state IS overwhemingly Dem and about 3/4ths of the elected officials in that state have a "D" next to their name, including both Senators and 3 out of 4 Congressmen!)

Dino Rossi
ELECTED Governor of Washington state in 2004 -- won BOTH recounts (he's no Al Gore), then Democrat goons "found" more votes and installed some Dem hack as illegite "Governor"

Al D'Amato
U.S. Senator, Served 1981-1999
Republican from New York

Peter G. Fitzgerald
U.S. Senator, Served 1999-2005
Republican from Illinois

Norm Coleman
U.S. Senator, Served 2003-Present
Republican from Minnesota

Bill Roth
U.S. Senator, Served 1971-2001
Republican from Deleware

David Vitter
U.S. Senator, Served 2005-Present
Republican from Louisiana
(FIRST and ONLY Republican ELECTED to the U.S. Senate in the history of that state!)
