The enemies were on high alert and the blogosphere had a juicy news flash: Susan P. Kennedy, a prominent Democrat who will soon take over as Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's chief of staff, was spotted having lunch with the chairman of the California Republican Party at a popular steakhouse here called Chops.
"You should know our sellout Susan Kennedy is having lunch at Chops right now with your party chairman - probably re-registering," the blog, Flashreport, reported recently, quoting a Democrat as one of two informants about the lunch.

But Ms. Kennedy said she had decided to join the Schwarzenegger administration because she believed in the governor's agenda.

Both Ms. Kennedy and the governor also say they support the death penalty and abortion rights. They are both pro-business, and they both insist that the time has come for the state, entrenched in a vicious partisan divide, to set aside party labels and create what Ms. Kennedy described as "a new kind of politics."
Still, Ms. Kennedy struggled with the decision after the governor approached her about the post. "It was a test of my beliefs," she said.
But, she said, "If I agree with where he's going, why would I not support him just because he has an R next to his name?"
Even so, Mr. Schwarzenegger has seen the need to explain his decision, praising Ms. Kennedy at recent news conferences and agreeing to be interviewed on the subject.

Ms. Kennedy, he said, "wants to go and make this the perfect administration and to implement my vision and to implement my philosophy."
"And I'm not stuck on my philosophy in a groove, like some people are - like the Republican or right-wing philosophy," he said.

A lot, given that they've gone from being a solid Republican conservative state to electing a closet communist like Janet Napolitano.
When a troll launches a deception; post the facts. When the troll spins the facts or attempts a misdirection; post more facts pertinent to the original matter. Trolls run out of energy and enthusiasm for the game long before facts are exhausted.
If a troll can bring you down their level, exchanging personal vitriol, they'll usually win. They have much more experience with life in the gutter or under the bridge. Stay on the high ground, hold your nose with your left and keep pitching with your right until the odor subsides.
Somehow, I doubt she has connected those particular dots.
Any non-resident presuming to lecture residents about California politics had better damn well be a recognized authority on the subject. This one isn't.
Hildy lived here in San Diego for over 15 years and just recently moved to Arizona. She has every right to comment on CA politics.
From what I have seen of her posts, you would never know it.
"She has every right to comment on CA politics."
And the rest of us have every right to comment on her comments, including whether we find them to have much merit.
Who could stop you?
It's only fair to give them one last chance to come clean. It also gives them clear warning of what is to come if they shoot their mouths and I find their posts. As it is, the least that happens is that they run if I show up (as FO usually does). It saves me time to implant a little caution and cleans up the forum a bit in the process, or at least that is the intent.
I tremble. LOL

How typical of you that you badmouth me behind my back. Now who is afraid of whom? You don't dare to ping me, because you know that your ludicrous allegations can't stand the light of day. Gotcha!
The ilk herd depends upon each other for support. The first premise of his balderdash is the supposition the if Arnie weren't in the recall McClintock would have won. Had Arnie not been in the race the results would have been just as the results from this latest 'special election' ~ defeat.
