Great story -- I hope this turns out well, but the bureaucracy for visas can be very rough and it may not speed itself up just because of life and death is at stake.

Hopefully the publicity will help -- my compliments to CNN.

A nice story

Agreed.

But a lot of Freepers would be mad if little Noor were a Mexican.

Running well here locally. I hope she does well. The troops turned around and went back in at some point to rescue her (and family I assume). Caught the end of the news on the way home.

When troops from the Georgia National Guard

I wonder. Was this standard during Vietnam or WWII? I mean the National Guard was activated during those wars. I don't ever recall hearing the heroics of the Pennsylvania National Guard on D-Day. Or the California National Guard at Da Nang.

May I speculate that identifying these heroic soldiers as Georgia National Guard instead of US Army is intended to sway my opinion of the war?

I'm not impugning service in the Georgia National Guard. But those men are doing a greater service as American soldiers right now.

So my heart just kind of went out to this baby and these parents who ... were living in poverty and had no means to help their baby. I thought we could do that for them," he added.

So Morgan and his fellow soldiers began working to get Noor the help she needs.

What our troops are doing when they are not terrorizing men women and children in their homes.

Thank you John Kerry.

Say a prayer that the Visas get through in time. I have a six month old (healthy, thank God), so a story like this really pulls at my heart strings.
