Bush served his country - end of story.

I did not claim he didn't...only that he (as demonstrated by the facts) did not meet the F104 flight duty he signed up for--his last two years in the ANG were spent at an Alabama base that had no aircraft. And, in his last year in the Guard, he amassed only 56 points which would not have qualified him for a good Guard year had he chosen to stay in (4 points for each weekend drill + two-weeks ACTDUTRA equals 62 points).

If I remember correctly (having read about this a while ago), the aircraft the President flew were being replaced, and only the most experienced, accomplished pilots who were staying in the Guard were going to be trained on the new aircraft replacing the older aircraft. Hence, the President wasn't required to keep flying.

I also understand that, like most pilots which build up extra points during extended training (particularly, initial training), the President only needed a minimum number of points annually to remain active in the Guard.

How about citing where you got the info you throw around as "fact"?

Are you sure it wasn't Mary Mapes and Dan Rather?
