There are a lot of ranchers who want illegals to quit crossing their ranches. I don't know of any who want their access to the river cut off.

Yep..that means alot of water hauling for cattle.

I don't know of any rancher that would set foot in that river let alone pump from it for their cattle.

That stretch of the Rio Grande is horribly polluted from the industrial plants and raw sewage from Mexico. There is very little environmental controls in Mexico, especially along the border.
