Aren't there some here who would swear on the Bible that Cornyn is a conservative? He is nothing short of a bought-and-paid for RINO. I imagine that PR firm and Mexico's known attempt to strongarm senators has gotten to him.
Him saying a fence sets us back a hundred years is straight out of Mexico and the democrat's playbook.

No serious conservative challenged Cornyn in the 2002 Republican primary, and GOP voters were compelled to support him in the general election to succeed Phil Gramm because the Democrat choice was the liberal Ron Kirk.

Similarly, there is no conservative challenging popular Kay Bailey Hutchison in the March 7, 2006, primary, at least not to my knowledge. She and Cornyn agree on nearly everything, but Cornyn is more anti-abortion than she is. She in fact has "endorsed" Roe v. Wade.
