"Even McCain would be better because at least he wouldn't let the Dems make him look like a fool."One only has to watch that moron mincing around Kennedy and Kerry to know why he's got a brown nose....

Did'nt Trent Lott betray the House Republicans on the impeachment?
If so he an Arlen Specter need to retire and go bowling.

Spine transplants needed everywhere in the Senate Repub caucus.

No! You are wrong! The liberal media just destroyed Sen. Lott. He was just saying nice things about one of the greatest senators. It was Sen. Thurmond's 100th birthday after all! He's a good man, and I hope he tries to be majority leader again. It was stolen from him in 2002!

I agree completely with your assessment. In fact, we are going downhill, if you ask me - Dole.....Lott.....Frist.
But he recently told the Sun Herald in Mississippi that if re-elected he might run for a Senate leadership post "just to make everybody nervous.
Could we maybe get a petition to send to Lott to assure him that just the thought of his considering another run for any leadership post makes us all not only nervous, but also nauseous?

I wish we could find someone who knows how to play nasty partisan politics like the 'Rats do.
Failing that, I would settle for someone who, for openers, knows the rules and hasn't spent their entire time in the Senate sleeping between bloviating. That would be a big improvement IMO.

Proof positive that any clay-headed little boy can grow up to be U.S. Senator.

How about a third option...suicide?
To: Democratshavenobrains
The Dems do not have to make McCain look like a fool. He takes care of that himself.

One of his downfalls was not making sure that the Senate took care of Clinton's impeachment.

"No. he lost because he apologized about three times too often."Only three? Seems like it was more than that, but that could be all the zillions of Lott threads at the time. ALL threads for a while became Lott threads. It was rather irritating.
IIRC, he also went on BET and slobbered his support for affirmative action and apologized a few dozen times on whatever show he was appearing on....THEN he got zotted by the Senate GOP.

The solution to the Lott-Dole-Kennedy-Kerry dilemma is two words - term limits.......
It is time to break up the good-old-boy network of politicians.....
