Exactly! They seem to have forgotten that one of the reasons that people form governments is to protect themselves from criminals. The government is supposed to protect the weak from the monsters. When it doesn't do that, it's up to the weak to arm themselves to protect themselves, and then get rid of the government... You don't "adapt" to ciminals, rapists, and murders. You remove them from society!

You're right, it is too late for Europe.
