Yup, I have the same sentiment.
I know that people yawn when oldsters mention WW2. But there were a lot of Gold Star mothers then. One of my best friends was killed in Germany. He was an only son of an older couple, who lived next door to my grandparents.
The situation was tragic, as any event like this is. But my friend's mother never thought of being a Mother Sheehan and camping out at Warm Springs or other homes of FDR. In fact, it would have been considered in total bad taste or worse by most people.

Good point. I do feel sorry for her. A parent should never outlive a child. She just was wrong in airing her greif in public, and allowing it to be used by the left.
She's been living high on the hog riding the media bandwagon so long she probably doesn't remember.
