Very cool! :) I been kinda slecking off during my writing in the holidays but I am starting up again. You seem to be into hard-sci-fi as well. Nuclear engines are awesome too. Mine use those as main engines on capital ships such as corvette and frigate class ships and as maneuvering thrusters/backup thrusters on super-capital ships (that is Destroyers, Cruisers, Carriers etc). My fission engines use the gas-core nuclear engines which are some five times more powerful than solid core fission engines (specific impulses of 3000 to 5000 seconds in the gas core design versus only 900 in a solid core design).
I like how you write in detail the physics of movign through the solar system, using the gravity "sling shot" maneuvers.

Hello, everyone.
2006 has gotten off to a banner and busy start. I'm a little swamped with stuff, right now, so I won't be posting anywhere near as often as I used to. I'd still like to hear what's up with all of you, so please feel free to write. Responses are likely to be brief and sporadic, though.
Bob, I haven't kept up with the Mars trip. Would you mind sending me an update ping.
See 'ya when I see 'ya.
