I have that book, too. Do you happen to know what of Aquinas' writings about the death of Christ were those for which he was divinely congratulated?

Full Disclosure: You are the first person I have ever talked to on FR who had any idea what that book was... A long, long time ago (in Internet years) some other Freeper wandered across and posted my hastily scribbled notes on The Servile State. It was mostly ignored, especially because Belloc recommended likely-unworkable and possibly unjust confiscatory taxes. (I think?)
I no longer remember the exact happenings in that episode of Aquinas' life.
