And now that he has admitted to the truth, the DUmmies can switch invective in mid fulmination, and claim that this poor guy was "forced to recant", after the MIBs planted false evidence and threatened to 'disappear him'.
Maybe even claim that Rove's MIBs altered his memories by pouring genetically engineered messenger RNA into his brain, via a long needle inserted up his nose.

"He revealed the agents' names: one was Nicolai Brushaev or Broshaev, and the other was simply Agent Roberts. He said they were dressed in black suits with thin black ties, "just like the guys in Men in Black."
Folks...this is what we are up against. And the scary thing is, these guys have the power of the media behind them. It is absolutely true...this will be viewed as an actual event in the near future, when they think the media attention has dropped off a bit...THEY will really believe it happened.
Pathetic. Simply pathetic.

The promises of confidentiality should end when the lie is exposed. The kid must be pretty well connected for the press to still be covering for him.

Another hoax by a college liberal sucks in the liberal mainstream press - - surprise, surprise. Usually it's the professors who concoct these "hate crimes". I'm sure the scumbags at the 'Standard-Times' are gnashing their teeth not because they were so easily duped but because a tantalizing chance to smear Bush has disappeared..

And the way it ends, with this image of just a fresh faced innocent boy enthralled by the attention. The professor also states that this damn liar needs "attention, he needs care".
Way to tailor the end to leave us with the desired image of a guilty man. (by the way I've seen 20 year old cops formerly in the army described as "veterans" when there was a chance at bashing them for possible excessive violence. Here's a 22 year old man who "needs attention"!)
He's 100% responsible for everything he said and he needs to be prosecuted, if there are any applicable laws that were broken.

Unless somebody was libeled or slandered there ain't no penalty for telling lies in the news.

Not that it matters what some smarmy little pissant publication like the 'Standard-Times' prints, but did anybody else find the inclusion of the following line interesting?
Had the student stuck to his original story, it might never have been proved false.
It's an awkward line to put into a story, and it sounds to me like there's an undertone of disappointment to it. It may as well read: "Damn.... if only the kid had played it better and stuck to his original story."

Good point. Or else it sounds like a little coaching, like "Hey students, if you want to try and tell lies about the government, just be careful not to change your story, that's how the last guy got caught!!!"

A real journalist want a good story. He shouldn't care who "wins" as long as the story sells papers.
As you rightly point out this reporter seems to have done that.

No Way, Jose!
The FR Pajahadeen had it as bogus within hours of it's release.
#1. There are no "Department of Homeland Security" agents!
But they believed because they wanted to believe the latest anti-Bush rhetoric.
Like, Duh, Professor!!!

Otherwise the MSM would be facing life sentences.
