I like it! Sort of like Santa Claus, but with a bazooka. No more Mr. Nice Guy! lol

My rule of thumb for satire: If I'm not at least smiling by the third paragraph, I'm outta there.
Stick to The Onion.

The Onion seeks to tear down and destroy.
This satire supports, and builds.
Would it were true. America doesn't have to take it from its enemies anymore. Survival is at stake.
Sarcasm, but only sort of. : > )

The illegal immigrants will also be forced to construct the Taj Mahalaburton palace for the Bush family in Crawford, Texas. Now that's not bad...this is a straight news story, right?

well, it put a grin on my face... though not necessarily one of jovial good humor

Eh, I dunno, it's not particularly clever. The Onion doesn't tear down and destroy, except pretention. Their "coverage" of Kerry's "yacht tour" is a good example.
If I ever need a good laugh I just pick up the Onion book of "headlines" throughout the 20th century.

The Onion's been too left-wing for my tastes as of late; too many cheap shots at the President, nowhere near enough cheap shots a libs. I demand fair and balanced satire!

Who is working on the movie script?
I would pay good money to go see the movie at least once a week. For therapeutic purposes...

The market also reacted favorably to the administration's decision to privatize the torturing of captured terrorists by allowing a company called Black Sites Interrogators, Inc. to start selling franchises. Sign me up!

OK: Ted Kennedy. Ooh, good one. He's always a laugh-riot.
And then there's this, which I helped write, because I'm funny.

Oh, Our Dumb Century? Yeah, that was a good one. They had France surrendering, like four times during World War II, once after Fat Man was dropped on Nagasaki.

My fave page was of the Nazis being welcomed back to Paris, marching under the arch d'T. The subhead read: "We kept your rooms just as you left them!"

Did you see the article about the Arc de Capitulation? It was a giant pink arch with depictions of scores of French defeats. On top of the arch was Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, stomping on the faces of the French people. Hillarious.
