MOSCOW, December 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russian paratroopers will participate in three joint military exercises with foreign countries in 2006, Commander of the Russian Airborne Troops said Thursday.
"We have planned two joint exercises with NATO and India for 2006," Colonel General Alexander Kolmakov said. "In addition, we will conduct joint maneuvers with Uzbekistan and a series of international exchanges with foreign paratroopers."
According to the general, the joint exercises with NATO have been scheduled for September and those for India have been slated for August. Both maneuvers will be held in Russia.
Great, now we can spend some our tax money training Russians to invade America. Modern suicidal politics at its finest.
Russians invading America? Not a realistic military option due to logistics. But Russians invading Israel is possible.
And how will Russia invade America? By teleporting them in or by first attacking US troops in 100+ different nations? Red Dawn was a fantasy movie not a reality.
Why would Russia invade Israel? Outside of the fact that almost a million Russian citizens live in Israel, Russia ships its oil through Israel too.

coffee.spew.monitor!
Perhaps they will attack America, the one place American troops and equiptment are not much in evidence. Want to complain about it, call your National Guard, in Afganistan, Bosnia, or Iraq or...
Actually, I think China will supply the logistics and the grunt troops to help hold the turf. Russia will just provide the first strike.
"Perhaps they will attack America, the one place American troops and equiptment are not much in evidence."
OK.
So how do they get to America?
Did the Russians ever figure out how to do a PLF?
The last film I saw of Russian troops jumping (1980s), most of them were making perfect three-point landings...
feet, knees, and face.
Take care,
Ruck

Ouch.
On one of the largest container merchant fleet in the world, China's Cisco. Guarded by the Largest military fleet in the world Russia, after the first strike off shore with hypersonic nuclear cruise missiles. Uh, would you rather me write a book for you? It would save you having to actually post this one sarcastic comment at a time?
Or you could wait a year or two and experience it first hand. Hey, that is better, It would save me having to think for you, write me all about it then.

OK, so far, so good--except that I thought Cisco made computer network routing equipment...
"Guarded by the Largest military fleet in the world Russia, after the first strike off shore with hypersonic nuclear cruise missiles."
What hypersonic nuclear cruise missiles are you talking about? Nobody has anything like that.
How do they unload the ships after they nuke the port facilities they will need to unload container ships?
And what happens AFTER the Russian first strike? Does the US military say, "Shucks, they done beat us, might as well not bother nuking them back?"
"Uh, would you rather me write a book for you? It would save you having to actually post this one sarcastic comment at a time?"
No, I prefer you to prove yourself to be a fool one idiotic comment at a time. It's more amusing that way.
"Or you could wait a year or two and experience it first hand. Hey, that is better, It would save me having to think for you, write me all about it then."
Now you're actively hoping and praying for a major nuclear strike on the United States. Are you some sort of Muslim nutball?
As if there wouldn't be a nuclear storm as soon as they arrived, never mind the logistical nightmare and to what end? I'm ending my participation in this, I got over Red Dawn a decade+ ago.
They do their combat jumps from 300-500 feet.
The Russians do, well its a hypersonic torpedo/cruise missile that can carry a nuke. But then again, any nuke fired and its LETS PLAY A GAME....WORLD OVER.
Of course there will be a nuclear storm as soon as they arrive. It has all been a part of Soviet doctrine for years that a nuclear war is survivable. It is only our doctrine that stops with the first strike with no backup.
While you may be over red dawn, Russia isn't, and that is the point isn't it? Do you think giving cruise missiles to Iran that can reach Europe, Nuclear manufacturing plants and SA-15 anti-aircraft defenses is a random event?
But either way, Merry Christmas for you and yours, hope it is a happy one for you.
Merry Christmas.
Now thats funny!
