I don't see how it can get any clearer than this. All these people running around screaming about their "rights" and the constitution this and the constitution that. Most have never read the constitution or they would have known that the president has the power to protect the nation. They'd also know that the judicial is not more powerful than the president or congress.

Wow, now that's citing case law. I had no idea that there were this many court decisions affirming the Presidential Authorities and it shoots up any congressional Rat's assertion that he didn't have the authority.

When does the investigation begin into who leaked the information about what the NSA was doing? I want the treasonous ass found and prosecuted.

Let's win this war!

Alright can you give a synopsis? Sorry, but I started reading and then noticed the law codes and thought "There is no way I will understand this rigamarole."

The President further explained that "the unauthorized disclosure of this effort damages our national security and puts our citizens at risk. Revealing classified information is illegal, alerts our enemies, and endangers our country." These critical national security activities remain classified. All United States laws and policies governing the protection and nondisclosure of national security information, including the information relating to the

activities described by the President, remain in full force and effect. The unauthorized disclosure of classified information violates federal criminal law.

I get the feeling the administration has just fired
a shot across the bow of some folks and let them know
that they have crossed the line.

Ship of fools, prepare to be boarded!

"Under Article II of the Constitution, including in his capacity as Commander in Chief, the President has the responsibility to protect the Nation from further attacks, and the Constitution gives him all necessary authority to fulfill that duty."

"The President stated that these activities are crucial to our national security." The President further explained that "the unauthorized disclosure of this effort damages our national security and puts our citizens at risk. Revealing classified information is illegal, alerts our enemies, and endangers our country." These critical national security activities remain classified. All United States laws and policies governing the protection and nondisclosure of national security information. including the information relating to the activities described by the President, remain in full force and effect. The unauthorized disclosure of classified information violates federal criminal law. The Government may provide further classified briefings to the Congress on these activities in an appropriate manner. Any such briefings will be conducted in a manner that will not endanger national security."

Damn the leftist traitors. Full speed ahead!

I have said from the beginning that it was some slimy Democrat politician that turned this dog loose. I hope whoever it is is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Its time the President stopped playing around with these people . He overlooked all of Bill Clintons crap but its time he took action.

Outstanding - pretty outstanding.

In a nutshell, unless you are the enemy, what's the worry - what would be up with all the b!itching and hysterics, then. There are some people around who are badly in need of some investigative scrutiny, like, yesterday.

Oh - and a source link to the letter itself - http://www.nationalreview.com/pdf/12%2022%2005%20NSA%20letter.pdf
